cheap centerpieces for wedding tablesHaving a budget wedding does not mean that the wedding will not be beautiful and elegant. It just means you will have to be a little more creative when choosing your wedding accessories to get the same effects. What other couples will be spending money on, you may have to devote time to in order to get the look you have dreamed of.

One idea that you can utilize to make cheap centerpieces in advance is spray paint. You can collect nearly anything, from pine cones, to evergreen branches, shells, smooth rocks, and dried leaves. Anything that has a fun shape and will keep its shape can be spray painted and arranged as a centerpiece. You can arrange them on a plate or platter, or right onto the table. You will want to use white, maybe silver or gold, and an accent color for your spray paint.

Dried flowers can also make a stunning centerpiece. One bride saved all of the roses that her groom sent her over their courtship. She dried each one. She had enough for each table to get one and for the head table to get several. She dried Some baby’s breath for each vase that she put a rose in. She put a small sign on each rose giving the date that her groom gave her that flower. It was one of the most romantic and beautiful wedding centerpieces. It was also as inexpensive as a centerpiece comes.

Centerpieces featuring fruits and vegetables can make an inexpensive and elegant look. A vase full of fruits in your accent color can look beautiful. This can be great for odd colors like lime green or lemon yellow. If you have a more colorful wedding, you can put out a fruit bowl or veggie platter for guests to pick on until the main meal comes.

Along the line of edible fruit and veggie platters comes the idea of real edible centerpieces. A plate of chocolates is popular, even if they are not gourmet. You can get mini paper cup cake liners and put bulk candies into each one. Make a nice arrangement on a plate for each centerpiece. You can also put out the hors d’oeuvres on a plate for guests to enjoy. Make sure that the plate is somewhat decorative on its own so it still looks nice when the food is gone. You could also put small floating candles in the center of the plate.

Centerpieces don’t have to look cheap to be made inexpensively. Cheap centerpieces are often the most elegant and romantic centerpieces there are. They are more romantic, because a couple puts more of themselves into the design. A small budget does not mean you cannot have your dream wedding.
