How To Dress For A Summer Wedding

Summer weddings are so lovely. An outdoor wedding can be so romantic, especially if there are flowers in bloom and the sun is shining. An indoor wedding will be special, too, and is smart in case it rains. However, what to wear as a guest can be tricky. For clues on specifics, check out the wedding invitation.
The invitation will tell you the time of day of the wedding and may give you clues about what to wear. If the invitation says that it is a white tie event or ultra-formal, you must wear a full length gown. Also, if the event starts after 6:00 PM, then a full length gown is expected. If you it is an evening wedding and you are wearing a full length gown, you can still have a summery look. Wear strappy sandals with a sleeveless or strapless dress.
If it is a daytime wedding, you will have a lot of options. A summer dress is the most obvious one. Wear light, summery colors, like pink or yellow. You can also wear a skirt suit or pants suit, but you can’t switch out ladies casual pants for suit pants. You should follow that advise whether the wedding is held indoors or outside. If the weather will be hot and your hair is prone to frizzing, have it in an updo to keep it in control. An updo will also keep it off you neck, which will feel cooler. don’t wear hosiery, which will make you feel so hot like you’re wearing snow pants, and be cautious of accessories that could make you feel overly hot.
There are a few things that you must not do as well. You must not wear white. That is for the bride alone. Also, in your quest to stay cool, don’t make your clothes too skimpy. This is another woman’s day and you should not be trying to draw all of the attention to yourself.
